Challenge

Processing and analyzing large-scale telecom metadata (CDR) in real-time while maintaining high performance, accuracy, and data integrity. The system needed to efficiently match phone numbers with multiple data sources, detect communication patterns, and provide meaningful insights for investigation purposes—all while handling continuous data inflow and avoiding duplication.

Solution

Developed a scalable, API-first backend using Django and Django REST Framework, integrated with a high-performance background worker system for continuous data processing and number matching. Implemented optimized database queries, indexing, and transactional updates to handle large datasets efficiently. Designed a notification-driven architecture to instantly highlight matched communications and provide detailed insights into calls and SMS activities.

Technology

The platform is powered by Django and Django REST Framework for backend API development, enabling secure and scalable data processing. PostgreSQL is used for structured storage with optimized indexing for fast querying. Background processing is handled via worker services to continuously analyze incoming CDR data, perform intelligent matching, and update results in real-time. The system follows a modular, API-driven architecture designed for scalability, performance, and integration with frontend or external systems.
