ScanOps

ScanOps is an enterprise-grade network scanning and infrastructure intelligence platform that transforms complex command-line security tools into a structured, web-based system. It enables organizations to securely discover, monitor, and analyze network assets through a controlled, auditable, and scalable workflow.

Challenge

Managing network scanning operations in a secure, controlled, and scalable way while avoiding risks associated with manual command-line tools. The challenge was to standardize scanning workflows, enforce policy-based execution, maintain audit logs, and provide real-time visibility into scanning activities across infrastructure.

Solution

Developed a centralized web-based platform using Django (MVT architecture) that abstracts complex scanning operations into structured workflows. Implemented modules for scan configuration, execution monitoring, queue management, and result analysis. Integrated scheduling, reporting, and notification systems to automate operations while ensuring full traceability and access control.

Technology

ScanOps is built using Django for backend logic and system orchestration, with HTMX enabling dynamic and responsive frontend interactions without heavy JavaScript frameworks. PostgreSQL is used for reliable data storage and historical tracking. The system is containerized using Docker for scalable and consistent deployment. The architecture focuses on modular design, operational control, and enterprise-level security.
